Slovakia & Czech Republic

Ok Stans reign maybe over or maybe not when we get to play these 2 away but I think hey its a good trip

Thinking of planning early, as married friends need a 12 month advance booking

Anyone been to Slovakia who flies there. Also easy to get to Prague from there

Skyeurope fly direct from Dublin to Bratislava. The airport is just a short bus/taxi trip into the centre of town.

It's around 6 hours by train to Prague from Bratislava. You could then get a flight from Prague back to Dublin with czechairlines.com.

You can always fly to Vienna with Aer Lingus, some good deals at times.
Vienna airport on east side so along road to Bratislava, almost half way between two cities.
Taxi not bad from Vienna airport to Bratislava city cnetre if there is a few of you.
There is very good rail link between the two, takes about 2 hours.
Don't think you can catch the intercity train near airport though.

Possible also to fly to prague & get a connecting flight from prague to bratislava. Czech Airlines have quite a decent schedule of dublin-prague and prague-bratislava flights.

The sky europe looks the best fly into there watch the Slovakia game then get the train or plane to Prague

Tried looking at the Czech air for one way flights from Prague back to Dublin but could not figure out as it kept defaulting to the czech language may give them a ring

Hopefully wont jack up their prices.....

might be worth trying gohop.ie, ebookers or others
