Just an fyi on this Introduce a Friend offer.
I got a cheque for 50 euro issued, brought it to the bank, and turns out it's only payable in GB (it actually says that in small print on the cheque).
The bank said they could send it away to be processed but it would cost me 25 euro. Advised me to phone Sky for a reissue.
Phoned the Cork office, got referred to Sky UK. Sky UK said send the cheque back to the UK Customer Relations team, and they will reissue with a cheque payable in ROI, but this may take some time.
The Customer Care guy thought maybe it was a bad batch of cheque templates, as he hadn't heard any other complaints himself but the bank said they'd seen a few of them recently.
So if you get one of these cheques, phone 0818 719858 to get through to the UK office so they can (hopefully) sort it.
