Sky + Freezing

Only have this problem since yesterday. It freezes in the middle of programme for about 5 seconds, every few minutes. Happens on all channels. Also, I cannot pause, rewind, fast forward, or watch any programmes already recorded on the box. Anyone any suggestions as to what could be wrong? Thanks in advance.
 
99% sure you have a faulty hard disk drive in your Sky+ box.

Will have to call Sky and report it, or if its out of warranty and you so please, you can change it yourself.
 
Have it in 18 months...presume its out of warranty? Is it a big deal to change it myself?
 
Knock off the power to the box only for approx 3 minutes and also take out the card at the same time and wipe if down on a dry cloth. This should fix it
