Sky+ and an extra decoder

I've searched through previous posts and Googled a little but I wondered if anyone could give me a straight and comprehensive answer to the following...

I am looking to get Sky+ installed in the living room in my new house. I used to have Sky over a year ago and still have the box (Pace DS430N) and card from my previous account.

This leads me on to two questions...

If I were to bung the installer a few pennies to connect my old box up upstairs...

A - will I receive any channels through it?

and...

B - if not, what do I need to purchase to receive any (or more) channels?

Appreciate any answers you have guys...

Cheers.

Petrolhead,

You will need a new box for Sky+ with 2 cables linked to your dish.
If you have a quad connection ,on dish, for a couple of quid extra you can get all the free to air station on your old sky box (it depends really who you get out to insatll sky+ for you)

So I can get all the free to air channels (somewhere around 200+, although how many are any good...) with my old box and card?

yes- once old box connected to the dish you should be able to pick up the free to air stations......all the BBC's, ITV's. True Movies etc
