i was driving home the other day when my clutch pedal stuck, meaning i couldnt change gear. i got it towed home and looked on some forums etc. they suggested that it could be the slave cylinder and a mate at work confirmed that (ex mechanic). i replaced the slave cylinder and bled the system until no air was present.
the clutch pedal has a bit more resistance but still does not return when i take my foot off the pedal. any suggestions what it could be?
there were no problems with the clutch before, no slipping etc and there is no evidence of a fluid leak

Can you get gears? Have you tried "hooking" the pedal with your foot and lifting it up? If everything works using this method, get down in the footwell and look up at the pedalbox and see if the pedal return spring is broken.
