Skoda Octavia Clutch Pedal Sticking Down

I have an 03 octavia and occasionally the clutch pedal sticks down. (3 times in the last 3 months).This has happened twice while parked and returning to the car a few hours later and once while driving. If you pop the pedal back up it's fine again. The pedal feels fine while driving in general.
Any ideas what might be causing this?

Sounds air in the hydraulic fluid line, maybe a small leak somewhere (clutch-release bearing?). Is the fluid level OK? Was the clutch replaced?

Make sure the pedal is not just sticking on a piece of carpet or a car mat.

Get a light in the foot well and push the pedal down with your hand.
