Single Person Tax Credit Question

Hi all, my daughter was born Oct 2013. My ex lived with me for the last three months of my pregnency. He moved out approx 2-3 weeks after my daughter was born. We also broke up at this time.

I rang citizen information to enquire about benifits. They told me about the single person child carer credit and that I should apply a claim for 2013. I did this aswell for 2014 but got a letter from revenue stating that their records show my ex living at this address. It turns out his mother sent information in to claim some things herself.

I never even thought of this as we broke up so soon after the baby was born and I have been on my own with her ever since. I called them and informed them off this and they said I could appeal which I have.

I'm just wondering if anyone could advice if they think i'll get this credit. I do believe I'm entitled to it and for the majority of my daughters life I've been on my own with her. Any suggestions on ways to Prove this to revenue.

Apologies I'm sending this from my phone. Can't view layout.

I would have thought that same but the rule for 2013 is that you can not be cohabiting. Which I was fully aware off as he moved out shortly after the birth. However since his address is at this house I'm not sure were I stand now.
