Hi Janet,

Maybe pop along to your lender and talk to them and see if they can come up with a restructure payment plan or possibly look at extending your mortgage?

Surely there are creches or minders in your area, have u tried looking? Talk to your neighbours see if they know anyone down at the local school. i know this will cost u but you may just get lucky and find a nice mum who will mind your baby for a few pound a week etc...

What about family - can they do a bit of childminding?
Can you go part time in your job and claim SW for the other few days?
Make an appointment to see your local SW officer and explain everything - they will tell you what you are entitled to if the worst comes to the worst

Good luck to you

Read the keypost guide for One-parent Family Allowance, which should point you in the right direction regarding SW entitlements
