does anyone know who in fact pays the Single Farm Payments ? i.e is it the Minister for Agriculture/ The Department of Agriculture etc? any help greatly appreciated?
Dept of Agr. pays the SFP on behalf of the minister using EU and some national funds. Delays experienced this year due to mapping issues with many parcels of land. 2nd payment has been made but in many cases is only 50-60% of amounts promised. Balance likely in new year following digitisation of all maps.
