I am an owner of an apt in a small block of 5 units. The developer wants to transfer the management company to the owners and we are considering which is the best way to handle this.
According to a report I read on management companies by the ODCE, simple agreements between owners is fine for small development as management companies are only intended for large developments.
Has anyone any experience of setting up such agreements? If so, whose name goes on the block insurance, bank accounts etc and how do you handle a situation were someone doesnt pay their service charges.
Has anyone been involved in the transfer of a management company?
