I am thinking of trading Australian stocks. I am wondering is there and form similar to W8-BEN that will reduce tax due? Also are there any extra complications with trading Australian stocks?
For the W8-BEN is it only for reducing US dividend taxation or is it relevant to CGT in US stocks as well.
Given the non double taxation rules with the US, after paying tax on US dividends (assuming W8-BEN is filled out), can the income tax due in Ireland be reduced by what was already paid in the US? Thanks for your help.
