No. I might get the replacement SIM so just in case although I'm not travelling any time soon. Thanks.Clubman
Did you not get this email recently from 48.ie
I got that email from 48, and I got the replacement SIM. I still can't get data roaming in NI.
Don't all Irish mobile providers (have to?) treat NI landlines called using the 048 rather than 00 44 prefix as Irish national calls covered by normal call minutes allowances, call credit etc.?It's easy to get a package with Northern landlines included
Thanks. That's actually my solution at the moment, but it's a bit clunky. Plus, I don't really want people to have to try two numbers to get me.Would you consider getting a dual SIM phone and a pay as you go SIM from a UK network? I carry an O2 UK SIM, and can phone or text UK mobiles from Ireland at the same rate as if I were in the UK.
It's also useful to have a 2nd SIM when my roaming with 48 fails!
Yes, I think so. NI mobiles are the big problem for me. Most of the in-laws are Nordies and have UK numbers.Don't all Irish mobile providers (have to?) treat NI landlines called using the 048 rather than 00 44 prefix as Irish national calls covered by normal call minutes allowances, credit etc.?
It didn't work for me in Northern Ireland a few weeks ago. Had to resort to my UK SIM for data.Anyone who got the new 48 sim have positive experience when roaming?
