Last time I went on a foreign holiday I was handed a local prepay sim card at the airport in Thailand. Worked out very well and inexpensive to use.
Have heard many horror stories of people being badly caught out on data roaming. GF's mother got a 700 bill.
I am not taking the chance of donating bundles of money to phone comapnies at home.
I will of course make sure my data roaming is firmly turned off,
Can I get a prepay sim in the US easy enough. going up the west coast from vegas to la. ideally with data but happy to do without.
