Hi All,

I am trying a lot of things to get rid of these pests and nothing seems too effective. I have started even using Nippon powder and a paintbrush to get into the all the tiny gaps. Anyone have any experience with getting rid of these? I consider the bug bombs but I doubt they would be effective on these. I have tried special silverfish spray but is not as effective as I thought. Any ideas?

Thanks

My experience is that silverfish are an indication of damp/ moisture penetration. Can you check if you have a leak/damp penetration?

Maybe some sprays are better than others. A relative of mine got silverfish killer spray from Amazon recently and it did the job.

There are little sticky insect traps.
Use them for a few days.
Every house has a few silverfish, damp or not.
If you only get one or two on the sticky pad after a few days id say nothing to worry about.
Ive you get loads of them then you need to do something about it.

They can also come into a premises with cardboard. If you've gotten cardboard or storage boxes delivered they can come in via these. That's how they got into a friends home and I know she struggled to get rid if them.
