Apologies if this has already been covered. I last signed on for credits only on 23.07.10 and have heard nothing since. Was continously employed for 38 years, now aged 59. Have tried to 'phone local S.W. office but no reply. Any suggestions as to what to do, am worried about further implications. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi Scrappy,

Best thing you can do is call to your local Social Welfare office tomorrow. Bring along current bills, etc. as proof of address and also some ID, just in case they ask for it. It could be something small they need from you to begin the claim.

I'd imagine they are very busy so calling might not get you too far.

Perhaps you only need to sign once a year but you should get written clarification of that, or a list of signing dates if you are required to sign monthly
