Can anybody tell me if a person (foreign E.U. National )who went on sick leave from work and was paid by the welfare here for a few weeks who subsequently left the country (to return to her home country be nursed back to health by her family) , is still entitled to sick leave from the social welfare here if she has sick notes from a foreign doctor (translated) and is physically not in the country , she has an appointment with a specialist here in Dublin for june 2012 .she has not left her employment here and is marked out as sick.The reason for going back to her country is to be nursed back to health by her family . She has worked continuasly in Ireland for the last 7 years. Any info would be apreiciated .Her English is not so great and she finds it hard to get info on her situation.
