shower hose leaking

Hi,

the shower hose in my parents house is leaking there is a tear on the hose part of it, its a Mira shower and I am guessing its about 7 years old does anyone know how to fix it?? we thought we could just screw off the hose and replace it but its proving difficult to screw it off.
 
You can buy inexpensive replacements in most builders providers or DIY stores now. This is your best course of action, any repair to the hose is not likely to last. Carefully use a vice grip to ease the connections, perhaps a little penetrating oil would help.
