I was just wondering if all items on a snag list should be rectified by the builder before drawing down on the mortgage and closing? We have quite a long snag list but our solicitor seems to think it will be ok to close before all items are rectified. I am very dubious about this as we have had a lot of problems with the builders (delays, leaks, enforcement order).
Also the solicitor mentioned that "be aware that the contracts provide that the Builder can charge interest on any unpaid balance after days". Does this mean that even if we are not happy that the sang list has been completed properly that the builder can start charging us interest?
