Should I convert my euros to dollars now or wait three weeks?

I all,

I know that it is impossible to predict the future 100% but due to my complete lack of knowledge of the foreign exchange markets I'm hoping to get some friendly advice!

I am travelling to the US in exactly three weeks' time, and have had an eye on the euro/dollar exchange rate for a while now. Obviously after the last interest rate cut in the US the exchange rate dropped initially but then improved quite quickly afterwards.

So I'm wondering - do you think that the euro/dollar rate will improve in my favour/roughly stay the same in three weeks' time, or do you think I'm better taking advantage of the current rate now after the recent interest rate cut? Does anyone know of any plans to cut the interest rate again soon?

Exchange rate changes are impossible to forecast in the near-term with any accuracy. The chances of the dollar dropping over the next 3 weeks is as likely as the chances of the dollar rising over the next 3 weeks.

If you want to avoid the uncertainty, buy now.
