shortest (in length) of energy saving bulb

Anyone find a CFL shorter than 11cm in length. Am looking at lighting but as I want fittings & shades that will accomodate CFL bulbs, which are bulky and unsightly, am finding that I will prob have to go with shades/lamps a couple of cm longer than the bulb itself.

I had lighting selected for the whole house, but then realised couldnt get cfl bulbs to fit.

Hope this makes sense??
 
I have a similar problem. I have energy saving light bulbs everywhere except in a uplighter for which the energy saving bulbs I found are all too long to screw in :(
 
don't know the exact measurement of ours but I know we have some that are not the long rectangular shape but are more like the usual round bulb shape - but you may have seen those already, will try to measure if I get a chance, check this out
