Short term parking options at Dublin airport

Looking for best option for short term parking at Dublin airport from Tuesday next from 11.30 am to 7.00 pm on Thursday. While cheapest option seems to red or blue long term car park.We have no luggage to bring. Just wondering what the shuttle buses are like? Is there a long wait?
 
The shuttle bus is very regular but have no idea of short term charges. I do know the longer term charges are stiff now, they can basically charge whatever they want. They've got it all to themselves, no competition. Quick park gone.
 
For day trips I tend to use the red car park. Busses are very frequent and are non stop from the open parking zone.

If you try and sneak into a parking zone nearer the entrance, the bus will not stop for you. (I prefer not to say how I know this )
