Anyone go away for a short break to UK for actual chrimbo ? I'm thinking of heading off Chrimbo eve and returning 27th and just wonder anyone recommend anywhere ? Edinburgh is current favorite cos of general craic and footie on Stephens day.

try aberdeen - not as touristy - went to stonehaven stayed at queens hotel - bit like a coronation street with rooms over pub - we thought it would be nice - it aint no burlington but it done the job!
