Shopping for jewellery in Cape Town

Hello,
I am going to Cape Town at the weekend for a 2 week holiday.
I would like to bring my mother home something nice, in memory of my holiday.
I am thinking of getting her a little bit of jewellery.
Has anyone been there and can give advice on somewhere to go and was it good value and quality! and does it hold its value upon returning home.

dont know much about this, but all I know is, there is a so much slave labour etc in the diamond industry over there, so be careful where you buy
