Is shopireland.com a legitimate site? it appears to be associated with amazon.co.uk (© 2006 Shop Ireland. All rights reserved. In association with Amazon.co.uk.) but for almost every item I check, it has the following text:

'While we no longer ship these items, you may find it cheaper here:'

Select Electronics >> any item under 'Most Popular Electronics', same with DVD Systems and Television sections.

If legitimate, what's the point of this site? The 'your basket' page says: 'Amazon are currently not shipping items from the electronics, toys, video games or kitchen categories to Ireland. We do apologise for this inconvenience, we hope to be able to offer these categories of items soon.' so in effect the same restrictions that apply to amazon.co.uk apply here also, so it has nothing to do with Ireland really?

Shopireland is some sort of front end for Amazon (.co.uk I think). Amazon.co.uk does not ship certain electronic goods to Ireland due to WEEE or other issues. I've never found the prices on Shopireland to be competitive to be honest.

I gave up on Shopireland too for the very same reason, everything I wanted couldn't be shipped and yes it's to do with the recycling charges that were introduced here.
