Shipping Container for Garden to store Files

I have about 50 boxes of Office Files that I need to put into permanent storage. They are in very strong boxes at the moment but taking up too much space in the office. I don't use these files but I may need to refer to them about twice a year.
I was thinking of buying a 20ft shipping container and putting it in my garden to store these files. However, someone mentioned to me that with frost and humidity these files could get damaged. Would I need to get a temperature controlled unit and if so where would I locate one of these? I'd appreciate any advice on this.

I'd rather have them stored in a remote warehouse by a company that specializes in document storage than have a 20ft eyesore in my garden.

Have you considered placing them in a Document Storage Depot. These type of places are secure, temperature controlled and safe. Depending on where you are based, you should be able to find one near you. And the costs can be placed as a Business expense.

Not 'could' but definitely will. You'd have to put insulation and stud out the walls to create a usable space an then have to gently heat it I'd imagine. It would be more hassle than it's worth. Instead of a shipping container a pre-fab office might be suitable.
Both are eye-sores though.

I hadn't thought of that. I've now sourced a Document Storage Company about 20 miles from my base who will store them securely and safely at a reasonable rate. Thanks for all your advice. Most helpful.
