I hope this is the correct forum!

I am thinking about buying Ship simulator 2008 but i'm not sure if it will be waisted on me or not!

Does anyone have any experiance of it? Do you need to know how to sail before you play it. And is any good?
 
Download the demo for Ship Simulator 2006 and get an idea of it. I tired the demo and felt it was more interesting than fun. Bit like flight simulator. Ship Simulator doesn't simulate sailing vessels, just ships, motor vessels. If you want to do some virtual sailing,

try the demo of virtual skipper.

I like the racing element in virtual skipper, haven't tried Virtual Sailor.
