Hi all
DH and I have been given 792 Irish life and permanent plc shares by family, and on the "cert" it states that they are Ordinary shares of €0.32 each.
does this mean that they are worth 0.32 each so 792*0.32 = €253.44? Or should we be looking elsewhere for the share price? If so, why is 0.32 written on the transfer of ownership certs?
thanks- sorry if the questions is very basic but we are complete newbies at this
x
I think it represents the portion of the original share capital that the share represents or something like that. I believe that it's academic as far as any individual shareholder is concerned.
