Shares...buy and sell time frames

Hi just wondering if there is a minium lenght of time you have to hold on to a share after purchase or is it possible to buy and sell the the same shares the same day or week ?
 
You can buy and sell any time. I think there are some CGT implications about carrying losses where you have to wait 30 days after you sell before you buy the same shares (not sure) but other than that, there's nothing to stop you buying shares at 9am and selling at 10am.
