share value

I bought some bank share about a year ago, I now realize that the stock certificate says that they are worth a nominal value of 0.64 euro. Was this the value of the shares on the day that i bought them? I thought it was more .................

I'm trying to work out what they are worth today.

Nominal value has nothing to do with market value on any particular date. Have a look here (UK site but explains the same thing)
