Share Gains and Losses

Is it possible to offset share gains against losses.?? IE...

Brought shares 15/10/07 sold them 29/05/08 profit $9000
Brought shares 08/01/08 sold them 30/06/08 loss $7500

Can i offset these against each other at tax end financial yr 2007-08 ???

Yes, you can. It's on the tax return form 12(i think) in detail. You pay CGT on your gains (=profit-losses)
