Share Certificates

Are there any stockbrokers still using the old system of Share Certificates? Am interested in purchasing some shares but would like to hold them in share certificate format.

I'm glad to hear that there are people who still insist on being the full registered owner of shares - while many institutions want you to move to holding the shares in the name of a nominee company.

I think that any Irish stockbroker who has a seat on the Irish stock exchange will do this for you, but the charges for certificates may be a bit higher than other forms of share ownership. The full list here includes many operating outside Ireland, but you will easily identify the local members.
