Shape of suite of furniture

I bought a 2 seater and 3 seater last week, a bit of an impulse buy! Now Ive had a second look around the shops and I notice most of the chairs have ''square'' arms, whereas the ones Ive ordered are slightly rounded. Is this style a bit dated looking?? I know its impossible to keep up with trends but if Im going to have it for a good few years I might as well get something very modern looking.

Square this year, round next year. A lot has to do with accessorising too, I personally wouldn't be too worried about round versus square, but then again I'm a bloke, what do I know.
