Shannon to Rome with Ryanair???

Ryanair have announced direct flights from Shannon to Rome - problem you arrive into Rome at midnight. Does anyone know how (time wise) far Ciampino Airport is from central Rome and what are hotels in Rome like for late arrivals?

Distance is: Location: 10 Miles/15 km SE of Rome. By Taxi: To the city centre ~€30-40/20-30 mins.
