Settling cracks — Homebond claim?

Just out of curiousity ... a six year old semi. The kitchen comes off the main dining area as a sort of extension to the house and there are a number of cracks in the ceiling running the width of the room (probably the actual gaps between plaster boards).

Engineer checked it out three years ago, and there hasn't been any movement since. The ceiling will have to be replastered/scrimped at some stage. Should this be checked out with Homebond?

AFAIK Homebond is a structural guarantee and these seem like superficial non structural issues

You shouldn't need to replaster due to cracks.

There's a good 2 or 3 mil gap between two of the sheets of plaster. Engineer said it's nothing to worry about, so Im not unduly concerned. Just that from an aesthetic point of view, I'd like to get it done and out of curiousity I wondered if it was something that HomeBond should be informed of for whatever reason.

Thanks for replies.

Use a flexible filler or decorators caulk to fill the gap. Should be a quick and easy DIY job.
