Just wondering could anyone give me some advice here,

My parents own a listed building in dublin which is in bad need of repair, they were thinking of setting up a revenue approved charity to help with the repairs of it,

could anyone give me advice on if this can be done? I dont think the house would be of much interest to the public once finished so cant really raise funds from tourism

Thanks

Re: tax relief

I can't see how such a charity would get Revenue approval.

However, have they looked into getting section 482 relief?

Alternatively, they should contact the Georgian Society who can point them in the direction of the various grants and other assistance available.

Is the building listed? You may get some small grant from the Council under their Conservation Grants for Protected Structures Scheme- annual scheme- apply in Jan/ Feb. usually

Also funding if a public building available directly from DoEHLG http://www.environ.ie (www.environ.ie) - generally apply in November annually
