I want to set up a partnership in order to rent a house that is owned by 3 parties.

Is it as simple as completing a TR1 form for revenue and then completing the PRTB form?

Will Revenue send me a partnership PPSN number to put on the PRTB form?

Do I need to register with CRO?

Thanks for your help

Fender your thread makes absolutely no sense. What exactly are you trying to do?

I think 3 people own the house - they want to rent it out -- and want to set up a partnership to do this

Why not just divide the taxable income by 3 ?

FORM PRTB1 allows more then one landlord

Sorry I was unclear - yes 3 people own the house and we are renting it out.

On the PRTB form (Private Residental Tenancies Board) that has to be filled in there is room for a Landlord PPSN number or a company Reg number.

If we only put in one parties PPSN number that person will be liable for all of the tax - this would be OK except that everybody is on different tax rates and USC rates etc....

So I want a partnership number on the form with all corresponding PPSN numbers and we then all pay our own tax....

I don't want to set up a company just an unlimited partnership.

I am still unclear why you want to set up a partnership?
why not just provide the 3 Landlord PPSN Numbers?

A Company Reg Number is not a partnership number

Yes - I am completely stupid! I was over thinking things - all I need to do is give the 3 PPSN numbers.

It makes good sense to register a partnership in this case, as it provides a clear delineation on Revenue records as to who is in receipt of the rental income from a property. Revenue may actually insist that such partnerships file a TR1 and the annual Form 1 Firms.
