Setting up a business

i am thinking of setting up my own business and was just wondering if any one knows where i wld start in getting the info that i wld need in order to have all the regulation end of things right.
i know that i can do my own tax returns and that part i will be fine with as i am used to keeping books but its just with the strat up that i need the help with

what kind of business is it you are setting up - i.e will you be working from home, Do you have employees etc? The more info you give them better advice you will get.
