Setting New Repayment on AIB Tracker

Hi,
When the ECB dropped some years back, I decided I would start to re-pay above my repayment schedule to avail of the lower rate so I've probably been paying around 35% more than I need to for the last 3 yrs. I made it very clear to AIB that I reserved the right to go back at any time to my original payment schedule and they agreed this.
In the meantime, I want to use the extra repayment money to save towards a car next year so called AIB Mortgage Centre to ask them what my current repayment schedule would be now be if I stopped over-paying and revert to the origial schedule at the current tracker rate.
That was over 3 weeks ago and despite ringing them every second day, the only answer I can get out of them is that it's still 'with the Accounts team' having been told it would take no longer than 3-5 days. Every time I call, I'm met with a brick wall of process and bureaucracy and am actually starting to get paranoid that something else is at play now...
Any suggestions on how best to handle this please?

I don't think that you should be paranoid - sounds like simple bureaucratic delay to me. Is it possible to drop in and talk directly to somebody who dealt with you on the mortgage before? If you are unilaterally making accelerated repayments then there should be no problem in reverting to the original repayment amounts/schedule. While you're at it you might want to get an updated statement of your loan account so you can assess what impact your accelerated repayments to date might have on ongoing repayment amount or effective term etc.
