Parents advised Sesame street not suitable for kids, since Cookie monster
promotes binge eating, and Oscar the grouch is just too depressed. My kids grew up on sesame street, they're now not binge eating manic depressives..
Barney IMO acts like he's on a very happy drug indeed. He is the most annoying creature in the world and should carry a health warning (along with the cast of Balamory.)
 
His arms are really big so I'd say he'd manage just fine, he'd probably fit you in there as well and carry you off to La la land.
