Service provider price increases

Thread created to flag providers increasing prices.

In my case, Allied Waste provides me with lift only services when I leave the wheelie bin out. I get a lift of it once per month with it extending to 3 months over the summer.

I got a text today that says I need to subsidise this with a new €1 per week additional charge to cover their costs, this adds 27.5% to my current bin lift costs.

I am waiting for a call back after making an immediate complaint. Serious money to be made by them. I would rather schedule the bin to be lifted to save them roaming around.

I have a pay as I use bin collection too. A monthly service charge was introduced about 3 years ago, 5 euro per month, which at the time doubled my annual bin charges. The service charge increased to 7 euro per month at the end of last year.
