Service Ducts in new house

Hi,

I am engaging in a self build house. I am a novice. Can someone explain what duct runs if any need to be provided for electrictiy/phone or is it connected by overground wire to main fuse baord etc.. Also I am building in the country how do i find out if watermain running by.
