sent from a permanent to a tempary contarct...is that legal and ok?

Hi there,

Hope I could get some advice and maybe someorganisation that i could contact-

I work in an american company and they are going to close my positon,I'm in permanent contact-They're going to go rid off all the temporary people too-

As I am permanent they gave me an alternative a temporary position covering a maternity leave...but I feel that they are just showing me the door as once I'll be temporary they will be able to get rid off me nicely-

I have been in this company for than 1.5year an half now-
Still I wonder if they can stop my full permanent contract and gave me a temporary one-not sure if this is legal and if I can do something about it-


Also if I accept this offer I won't be redudant and if I refuse not sure I'll be

If I could get some advice or who I could contact to know what would be my best move on this I will gladly appreciate it

Hi Papillon - I'd contact your local citizens advice bureau. Sounds well dodgy.

You should have a read through Citizen's Information to see which organisations can give you some advice and contact them on Monday.
