Anyone stay out late last night for Paddys? Was funny watching the pub slowly empty from about 10pm last night...everyones excuse being "its a school night and all, cant be out drinkin all night"!! Im 28!! Are we all going sensible in our auld age haha...
Proper order I say. Irish society is far too tolerant of binge drinking. Just look at what happened in Finglas yesterday. Not to mention the number of working days lost as a result of hangovers.
I haven't been in the city centre on Paddy's day in about 4 years, but the last time I was, I've never seen anything like it - people literally falling around the streets drunk at 6pm.

Agree with that, I was in Temple bar for Paddys day about four years ago and never again! - people (old and young) stumbling around getting sick everywhere - god it was awful, was stuck in a god awful pub as well - crammed, drink spilling everywhere. Its a shame because it is a great day for the country, the parade and sky fest/street theatre etc are really brilliant and I reckon Monday or a work day is the best day to have paddys day to eliminate all of the messing with drink because it's the only downside to the day.
Ya I'm 37 and I believe that has something to do about it. I do remember being out all day in my early 20's to early 30's and not noticing so much and no I wasn't falling down drunk.
I suppose you become less tolerant as you get older.
