Sending bank draft in the post - best way?

I need to send a bank draft from the west of ireland to dublin and time (and security) are obviously key factors. I checked an post web site and they have a courier service - would this be the best approach? I have previously used similar services from the U.S. to Ireland but none within ireland so any advice would be appreciated. If I sent it Monday morning, should it get to Dublin by Tuesday morning??

Can't your bank send the draft electronically to the recipients bank?

I have done this from England to Ireland and have received similar from Trinidad.
