Selling your house without an auctioneer

I have come across two websites which help this process. I know nothing about them and I am not recommending them, I am just providing the information:

4salebyowner is run by a solicitor and seems to deal only in Mayo property.

I found annoying to navigate, so I spent no time on it.

I have used a website before and it sat there for ages and ages, after employing an auctioneer it sold the 2nd day (a pure stroke of luck me thinks!) but since the sale agreed went up I have received 5 enquiries from people surfing the website, although I have made numerous attempts to get them to take the ad off the site

I reckon this is the way to go. If I had money I'd set up a website like these but spend a fortune marketing it and make sure it had a professional look. But my property tycoon days are drawing to a close now and I'll be over the moon to see the back of them.

We were in an area where property moves fairly fast - and advertised in Indo property supplement for less than €100. Accepted an offer within 2 weeks.
