Hi,
I was not able to find any up to date information about this, so I decided to post.
Due to no means and an ever increasing credit card bill, I would like / need to sell in full my small holding (less than 1000) of shares in Vodafone. Of the two options that exist (via telephone or online), it appears that the online approach could save 60 euro (and the cost of a call to an 0870 number).
Some questions I have:
1) Has anyone sold their holding online recently?
2) If so, can you get re-imbursed by cheque or must you provide bank account details (I never provided these details and Computershare are currently sorting out my dividend payments for the last two years or so, they were not able to answer this question about the actual shares, only dividends)?
3) Where do I send the share certificate and would registered post be recommended (as this is the only proof of ownership I have)?
4) Was it a relatively straight forward process for you?
