Hello i have been renting my house out for 12 months and the tenant has just signed up with estate agents for another 6 months, but i have now decided to sell the house to the tenant.
We have agreed a price and now is in motion with the solicitors,
Where do i stand with the estate agents now i am selling the house i am not sure if there is any fees or if even i can sell the house untill the
6 months is up can the estate agents stop me selling my property?
has anyone got any advice thankyou.
It doesnt say anything about that situation in the contract i was worrying in case the estate agents tryed to stick some extra charge on for not using them to sell the house for me like these estate agents seem to do. As long as they cant stop it going through it should be ok thanks.
hahaha yeah to be honest wished i hadnt used them in the first place waste of time and money not very helpfull or professional but live and learn i suppose.
I'm just being nosey now but I'm wondering (cause we might be in this situation ourselves), will you charge the tenant rent right up to the day the sale goes ahead or have you worked out a deal to put some of his/her rent towards the sale price or to reduce rent because he/she's buying it?
As I say, just being curious - we'll soon be renting (having owned for 20 years) and we'd love to work out a deal after a couple of years to maybe buy the property.
