I've recently sold property in Turkey but I only deal in the unique stuff, I wouldnt touch any big villa complexes or off plan developments (unless it was Istanbul). The market is changing in Turkey and people want something more than a box by the sea. Last property I sold was to a Turkish family who wanted a year round retreat from Ankara. They wanted all mod cons, all the toys but wanted something "in nature", nature is a big thing in Turkey. That place sold for 750.000 ytl which is a great price but it was pretty exceptional though it didnt have huge land.
Datca is a good bet for finding quiet villages, so is Turunc and there are some nice little villages around Kudadasi that are away from the tourist traps and can throw up some gems.
I advertise in the Turkish papers and property websites, the new mortgage law is making credit much more available for Turks and completed properties can now have mortgages so definately go for something already built if you want to flip.
