Selling property in France

We bought 2 investment properties in France (1 bed apartments in a tourist complex) 9 years ago and the leaseback period is due to expire next year. Has anyone any experience of selling such a property in France - we do not want to roll on the lease for another 11 year period?

I have sold an "ordinary" apartment in France a couple of years ago,to be honest it was anything but straightforward, You really have to cross the T s and dot the I s, and the notaire will hold the money till the very last cent is paid to it appears to me anyone whos asks for it.
I wish you luck Eithne,the only thing I can say is bear with it and dont let it drive you crazy!
I for one am glad its all over, and am going to enjoy visiting France and NOT having property there.
