Selling online in the UK

I am nearly ready to start trading as an online buisness soon and was wondering the following in relation to the UK market? Can you trade in the UK (.co.uk domain already registered) even though there is no business registered over there. I would be doing everything over here? Many thanks, shamrock.
 
Yes you can, you need to identify on your website your registered office etc,

If you are dealing with the public you have to charge them Irish VAT, but B2B you dont if they supply you with a (valid!) VAT number
 
Ok thanks for the replies so that means there's no issue with UK people buying online from the uk address and then I will ship the products over once the Irish address is listed on uk site? Am not registered for VAT for now as advised by Accountant as sales won't be anywhere near €75k. Cheers.
